Ingrédients

Meatball Mixture
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
For the Sauce
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Mix all the ingredients until just combined. Don’t overmix, or you’ll end up with tough meatballs!
  4. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
Cooking
  1. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, until cooked through.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Serve the meatballs warm. Enjoy every bite!

Notes

For optimal flavor, toast the garlic in the sauce before adding the meatballs. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
