Method

Preparation
  1. Chop, dice, and mince your way to chili perfection.
  2. In a large pot, cook the ground beef (or turkey) until it’s nice and brown.
  3. Toss in the onions, bell pepper, and garlic, cooking until fragrant.
Building the Chili Base
  1. Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, and paprika — cooking for an extra minute to wake up those spices!
  2. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
  3. Bring it to a boil, then let it simmer low and slow for about 30 minutes.
Finalizing
  1. Fold in the kidney and pinto beans, continuing to simmer for another 10 minutes.
  2. Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking.
  3. Ladle it into bowls and top with your favorite fixings!

Notes

For thicker chili, let it bubble away longer. Swap in other beans or add sweet corn for extra texture. A splash of hot sauce or a sprinkle of smoked salt can elevate the spices.
