Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat salmon dry; season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika (if using).
Cooking Salmon
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Place salmon fillets skin-side down; sear for 3-4 minutes until a golden crust forms.
  3. Flip and sear for 2-3 minutes on the other side.
  4. Transfer pan to preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and roast for about 10-12 minutes, until the salmon easily flakes with a fork.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in lemon juice and zest; simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced and thickened.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Pour the garlic lemon butter sauce over the seared salmon fillets and garnish with chopped parsley.
  2. Serve immediately with your choice of sides like steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a light salad.

Notes

Timing is key: Don't overdo the salmon searing; it should be tender and flaky. You can substitute butter with olive oil for a healthier option. Experiment with herbs like dill or thyme for added flavor.
